Welcome to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society

The Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society (KWHS) has been saving lives since 1927. Now in its 82nd year the KWHS is one of the largest humane societies in Ontario serving one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas. Over 26,000 square feet of space allows us to hold 62 dogs, 119 cats and an assortment of birds, small mammals and reptiles. In emergency situations the Centre can be quickly altered to house up to 400 animals. The KWHS provides humane education, law enforcement, and sheltering of animals in this community. We do not receive any government funding.

Spring is fast approaching, and with it comes the many litters of kittens and puppies we will be caring for over the spring and summer months. As a result, our Centre will be in need of canned and dry kitten and puppy food for our future charges; donations can be dropped off at the Centre during business hours.

Thank you for supporting the orphaned animals of our community.
