Your financial support enables the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society (KWHS) to provide the highest level of care for the orphaned animals of our community.

$10 per month, thats all we ask. We’re attempting to recruit 1000 Waterloo Region residents who will commit to helping the KWHS make a difference in the lives of the animals in our community. Are you interested in a job where you can help make a difference in the lives of animals?

We rely on the community to help us fund all the activities that KWHS does. Without your support we could not provide a full-time education program, help sick, injured, and homeless animals, offer educational seminars, offer the Tales for Tails reading program, visitation to senior’s homes, provide behavioural training to dogs to make them more adoptable and much more.

Volunteering at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society (KWHS) takes on many shapes and forms. You can volunteer to work directly with the animals, help with fundraising and special events, work with kids in our education programs, and much more. Some volunteer jobs have to be done during business hours, while others can be done during evenings and weekends. Whatever your choice is, know that we appreciate the time and efforts given to help us help the animals.

Foster Volunteers care for immature, mildly sick or injured animals, and animals in need of socialization. This program is perfect for those who may not be able to commit to an animal for it’s entire life.

Help the animals at the KWHS by being a FUN Raiser! When you raise money for the KWHS you help us help the animals and have a lot of fun while doing it – especially when you involve your friends! When you bring in the money you raise, you will get your picture and story on our website.

Thousands of homeless animals find their way to the doors of the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. We care for them while they await a ‘forever’ home; but what about those animals that need emergency medical treatment? The Wilf Fund at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society was created for just this purpose. Help us provide medical care to the sick and injured pets by keeping funds available for those who need treatment.
