K-W Humane Society

Hi there everyone, my name is Star – and basically, my name is a true representation of who I am! I am the Star of the Centre! But it hasn’t always been that way. I was found in Waterloo as a little 6-month old stray kitten. I was brought into the Centre at the end of January 2007 and I had a severely injured tail which had to be amputated. After a couple months recovering from my surgery I had melted the hearts of all the Staff and we couldn’t bare to part with each other. The Staff asked the boss and he welcomed me as the newest staff member to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society…I even get paid in treats! For fun I like to clean computer screens, I sit right in front of them and paw at the screen! And since I am a pretty smart cat – I like to chase the mouse pointer on a computer screen! Other than helping at the front desk, I like to laze around the Centre, listening and learning. I also enjoy taking naps and I am not picky where it is – in the linen closet, sprawled across your chair or on your desk covering your work! But I will give you a warning – if you leave food on your desk, it is fair game, and I will eat it!
