Dogtoberfest 2006

Despite the uncooperative weather Dogtoberfest was a great success!  275 Dogs joined us to Om Paw Paw on Saturday, October 14, 2006.  Dogs played games like Cookie Dig, Agility Trials, Iron Dog and Cookies on a String.  At 1:30 the 2nd Annual Dogtoberfest Pageant took place crowning “Daisy” owned by Nikki Ouillette as the winner.  “Daisy” faced some tough competition including Molson, a dog who can fetch a beer, Buddy a former Surf Dogs Trick Contest Winner, and a soccer playing dog.  A special thanks to our Celebrity Judges:  The Honourable Karen Redman, MP, Melissa Durrell of CTV Southwestern Ontario, and Jennifer Campbell of 106.7 KICX FM.

Congratulations to Louise from Cambridge for taking part in this year Dogtoberfest events.  She visited all the events this year and qualified and won our fabulous door prize of: a squeaky dog Frisbee, two toy basketballs, an Iams dog squeak toy, a colourful food dish and a big box of Dog treats! It was a great day and we will see you all next year!
