Animal Care Staff

The Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society (KWHS) is seeking part-time Animal Care staff.  Candidates should enjoy working with all kinds of animals, possess an ability to work with the general public, a willingness to learn and a valid driver’s license.  Good customer skills and a positive attitude are a must.  This highly physical job is responsible for cleaning, feeding and general care of Centre animals as well as animal adoptions.  Vet tech or vet tech students are preferred for this position, but consideration will also be given to those with previous animal care work experience.

Counselor In Training (CIT)

The Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society is currently seeking volunteers for our Counselor In Training (CIT) program. As a CIT, you will help to run our Summer Animaniacs Day Camp for children ages 6 to 11 years old. If you love animals, games, crafts, and kids, the CIT program could be right for you. The position is open to youth who are a minimum of 15 years of age. You must commit to one full week during the summer and a half day training session at the end of June. CITs have the opportunity to receive their full 40 hours of Community Service during their one week as a CIT.
