Where do homeless, injured animals turn for help?

Thousands of homeless animals find their way to the doors of the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society.  We care for them while they await aWilf in Cast permanent home; but what about those animals that need emergency medical treatment?  The Wilf Fund at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society was created for just this purpose.  Help us provide medical care to the sick and injured pets by keeping funds available for those who need treatment.

In 2002 “Wilf”, a stray dog, had been hit by a car and left to die in a ditch with a badly broken leg. A pair of Wilfrid Laurier University employees came to his rescue. The public responded with an outpouring of support that showed us the need for a fund to assist the homeless, injured animals of our community.

With your help we can continue to treat animals who don’t have an owner.

Contribute to the Wilf Fund today!

The staff and Board of K-W Humane Society were saddened to hear that Wilf passed away February 14, 2007.  He lived his last four years of his life with his loving family of Ken and Tracey Sims.  This extraordinary dog was loved by many and touched the hearts of this community with his courageous story.  Our thoughts are with Ken and Tracey and we are grateful that Wilf had such a loving home in which to live out his charmed life.
