Help the animals at the KWHS by being a FUNraiser.

When you raise money for the KWHS you help us help the animals and have a lot of fun while doing it - especially when you involve your friends!  When you bring in the money you raise, you will get your picture and story on our website.

We are thankful here at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society to have so many fantastic kids who  generously want to help and give to the animals at the Centre.
If you are planning on holding a FUN-Rasier and would like to let me know in advance, please e-mail: amanda.liebeck@kwhumane.com , that way we can work together to make your FUN-Raiser a success!
We have kids coming in every week donating food, toys, treats and money to the pets and we want to be able to thank them all:
  • Ben Tomka! Ben had a birthday and he asked all his friends and family to donate to the Centre.  Ben was able to bring in: Food, treats, toys, grooming supplies, leashes AND $30!                Thank You Ben!
  • Gabriella Ellingham! For the second time Gabriella has asked her friends and family to donate to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society in lieu of birthday gifts!  She was able to raise $200 for the pets at the Centre! Thank you Gabriella!
  • Brittany Stanton!  Brittany couldn't think of anything else she would like for her birthday besides having the chance to help the animals at the KWHS!  She asked all her friends and family to donate to the Centre rather than give her a gift.  Brittany donated $116.00 to the animals!  Thank you Brittany!
  • Thank you Hannah & Logan Clinton!  Hannah and Logan knew it was time to clean-up some of their older toys and decided to sell them in a garage sale.  Not only were they giving people a good deal on their toys, but they wanted to donate the money they raised back to the animals here at the Centre!  $102.20 will keep the pets here happy...the staff too! THANK YOU!
  • Gryphon!  When Gryphon had his birthday party this year he asked his friends and family to make a donation to the KWHS in lieu of gifts!  Gryphon was able to donate: cat food, dog food and blankets!  The pets will love all this great donation! Thank you Gryphon for thinking of us!
  • A BIG belated THANK YOU to Meaghan! On June 12 she came into the Centre to drop off a wonderful cash donation of $100.00!!!  Meaghan was celebrating her 8th birthday and she asked her family and friends to help the animals at the Centre rather than bring her a birthday present! How 'purr'fectly lovely of you Meaghan - THANKS!
  • Jessie's Big 10th Birthday Celebration!  Jessie loves pets and wanted to help the animals at the Humane Society so when her 10th birthday was coming up she asked for donations to the Centre.  She was able to donate $120, Dog food, cat food, toys and treats!  Thank you Jessie!
  • On a hot day Allie and Ella could only think of the Humane Society!  One hot day Allie and Ella decided to hold a juice stand to raise money for the animals at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society!  The two kind girls were able to raise $26.55!  Thank you so much Ella and Allie!
  • Baking up a storm in the hot weather! Audrey, Katie and Brianna wanted to raise money for the animals at the Centre so they decided to hold a bake sale!  Making lots of yummy treats to sell to their customers they were able to raise $31.00!  Thank you so much for the wonderful donation!
  • Yard Sale, Lemonade Stand and Craft Sale all in one day!  Mykayla and Kristenella have been two busy sisters raising money for the animals here at the Centre.  They did some craft projects, collected old toy and sold it all at a yard sale - they even sold lemonade to their thristy customers!  Thank you for raising almost $40.00!!!
  • A BIG thank you to Sarah!  Sarah raised $53.70 by selling items at a garage sale! She wanted to help the animals out here at the Centre so she donated it all to them!  That money will help care for all the pets here! Thank you Sarah!
  • What can we say about Emily?  Just that she is a kind, generous and pet loving girl! Emily just had her birthday and she wanted to share the special days with some very special animals - the one's waiting to be adopted at the KWHS!  Emily asked her family and friends to bring presents for the animals!  She was able to donate:  food, toys, dishes and blankets!  Thank you!
  • WOW - thank you Madylin!  It was Madylin's birthday and she wanted to surprise the animals here at the Centre by giving them HER birthday gifts!  She donated $100 to the orphaned pets here who need our help...and generous girls like Madylin!  THANK YOU!

FR-AndrewMany children like to save their allowance to buy lots of neat toys! Andrew, who is seven, saved his allowance to buy food, treats, and toys for the orphaned animals at the Centre. These items are helpful and useful because they help care for the animals while they are at the Centre. Andrew is an animal lover of all types, but his favourite animals are dogs and cats. Thank you for your donation!

FR-AbigailMeet Abigail and Olivia! You might say they have a green thumb because their FUNraiser included gardening! This past summer these two young ladies wanted to do a very special fundraiser. They sold beautiful flowers from their garden and spent time and effort in preparing the flowers for this special sale.
Abigail and Olivia your efforts will help the animals at the Centre! Keep up the great work.

FR-WestheightsThanks to the generous students and staff at Westheights Public School they were able to donate over $65.00 to the animals of the Centre. The Music Council, which is comprised of students, planned and ran a bake sale at the school on December 3, 2009.

The Music Council brought in chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate (and other yummy baked goods) to sell and raise money! The Centre is fortunate to be remembered by so many students this year. They were able to vote on a charity of their choice and we thank the students for thinking of the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society!
