Did you think you were seeing double? Well you are! Mikanna and Jaxson who are twins celebrated their sixth birthday party! They celebrated their party like some real party animals! They had a jungle themed party for their party guests.
Mikanna and Jaxson raised $430! That’s a big donation that will be able to help the animals in so many ways! Some of the ways it will help the animals is by:
- Humane Education Program- it will help us teach pet safety and responsible pet ownership by purchasing new instructional videos!
- Tales for Tails reading program- visitation dogs and volunteers visit area schools to help children with reading skills.
- Spay-neuter program- Helping the Centre prevent overpopulation.
- Wilf Fund- Assisting in emergency surgeries.
- Veterinary Care- providing pets with health check-ups, vaccinations, deworming and flea treatments.
Thanks Mikanna and Jaxson for all of your donations to help the animals! |

Come and meet Even who just turned 11! He had a real summer birthday party—he had a pool party! The weather wasn’t great, but Evan and his guests celebrated anyway!
Evan’s party guests brought donations for the animals at the Centre. Evan was able to raise $180.00! And did you ever wonder what the Centre can buy with the donations? Below is a list:
- Plastic litter pans
- Kitten Milk Replacer
- Kurunda beds for dogs
- Hide-a-Boxes for cats
- Kitten food
- Dog food
- And much more!
Thanks to Evan for celebrating your birthday and thinking of the animals! |

Here is a FUNraiser who donated items that the Centre was in need of. Connor had his 12th birthday at the beginning of July and decided he wanted to receive gifts for the animals instead of himself. Don’t worry though; Connor still had a blast because his party guests went bowling and summer tubing!
The animals are very fortunate, and thankful, when people bring items for donation. The items help assist in their care during their stay at the Centre. Connor’s guests donated money, treats, cat and dog toys, bathing supplies, small mammal food and dog biscuits.
This is his second time donating to the Centre because he wants to see all animals find loving forever homes. Connor’s family already has two dogs; a Wheaton cross and a Golden Retriever.
Thanks for thinking about the orphaned animals at the Centre! |

Grace is 7 years old and she loves dogs and cats so much! She would love to be able to attend one of our Jr. Vet Clubs or Day Camps. This pet friendly girl decided to have a lemonade stand and donate the money to the animals here at the Centre! With the help of her mom, they made a big sign with a large lemon on it and wrote that they were having a lemonade stand to raise money for the KWHS. They also made flyers and gave them out to their neighbours letting them know that they were raising money and hoped they would come out and support them! Well they did! Grace only asked for a donation for the lemonade and people were very generous – two people gave $10 each! Grace brought in almost $65 for the animals!
I am sure that “Emmy”, Grace’s 12 year old yellow lab, is very proud of her hard work and we are too!
THANK YOU! |
