Grace is 7 years old and she loves dogs and cats so much! She would love to be able to attend one of our Jr. Vet Clubs or Day Camps.  This pet friendly girl decided to have a lemonade stand and donate the money to the animals here at the Centre!  With the help of her mom, they made a big sign with a large lemon on it and wrote that they were having a lemonade stand to raise money for the KWHS.  They also made flyers and gave them out to their neighbours letting them know that they were raising money and hoped they would come out and support them!  Well they did!  Grace only asked for a donation for the lemonade and people were very generous – two people gave $10 each!  Grace brought in almost $65 for the animals!

I am sure that “Emmy”, Grace’s 12 year old yellow lab, is very proud of her hard work and we are too!

Two sisters, Bella 5 and Madeline 9 ½ thought they would raise some money for a charity by holding a lemonade and cookie stand at the end of their driveway!  They were told about different charities they could give the money to but when they heard they could help the cats, bunnies and all the animals, their minds were made up.  With the help of their babysitter, who made chocolate chip cookies, they sold the lemonade for 25 cents a glass and 10 cents for a cookie.  To let people know about their sale they made flyers and brought them around to their neighbours' houses.  The girls raised $18.00 and donated $10.00 to the animals here at the Centre.  Madeline said she would like to have a snake as a pet! But both girls would be happy with a dog!
