Come and join Santa and his elves for Christmas Pet Photos at the Centre, December 4, 5, 11 & 12, 2010, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Each photo is $8.00 and will come with a keepsake folder. You and your pet don’t need to make an appointment, just show up and have your photo taken!

Come to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society’s (KWHS) Leash free park and enjoy in the Oktoberfest festivities for you and your dog. This is the 6th annual DOGtoberfest and we invite you to see how the Centre celebrates this fun Bavarian Festival doggie style! DOGtoberfest is a fun event for dogs and pet owners alike! It is an official Oktoberfest event and won best new event in 2005. There are carnival style games designed for dogs and people, DOGtoberfest souvenirs (hats and buttons), homemade dog treats, a DOGtoberfest pageant (judges look for costumes, tricks and personality), Oktoberfest music, and KWHS merchandise!

The KWHS gets into the festival atmosphere of Oktoberfest by BBQing Oktoberfest sausages, hot dogs and drinks! Come on out and enjoy a pet friendly Oktoberfest event with your favourite pooch today.

What is the coolest way to say good-bye to the great summer weather? Bring you and your dog out to Surf Dogs! Surf Dogs is a Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society event that will be held Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This event is a day of swimming for your dog at Bingeman’s Big Splash Water park. Dogs are welcome to practise their doggy paddle and surf the waves one last time before the pool shuts down for the summer.

Surf Dogs is a good socialization event for dogs and a great time to run and play. There are many activities for both humans and dogs: unique Exhibitors, raffles and a talent competition for dogs.

Bring your canine companion out and your dog will love you for it!
