The Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society would like to ask for the public’s patience and understanding as our Centre deals with a positive case of Ringworm. To ensure the health, well-being and safety of the pets, staff, and community, our adoption centre will remain closed until environmental tests can confirm we are free from infection. All pets are currently undergoing treatment as a precaution.
We will re-post all adoption pet information once we have been cleared to re-open.

The Kitchener-Waterloo & North Waterloo Humane Society (KWHS) has been saving lives since 1927. The KWHS is one of the largest humane societies in Ontario serving one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas. Over 18,000 square feet of space allows us to hold 62 dogs, 165 cats and an assortment of birds, small mammals and reptiles. In emergency situations the Centre can be quickly altered to house up to 400 animals. The KWHS provides humane education, law enforcement, and sheltering of animals in this community. We do not receive any government funding.
